Scarlet: A Celebration of Female Expression is a cultural celebration of women that promotes our talents while highlighting powerful social issues.

Founded in 2014 as a feminist art show, The Scarlet Event has since blossomed into a live, interactive creative art space and lifestyle event focused on bringing intellectuals together in the spirit of cultural celebration, mutual understanding, and social justice.

Audible Chocolate is an all female Hip-Hop/Soul band consisting of Lo Anderson (guitar and vocals), CheekiPowPow (lead vocals) and Iymaani Abdul-Hamid (viola). What began in early 2013 as a dynamic duo with Cheeki and Lo, transformed into an regal, yet raw, trio with the addition of Iymaani and her viola. Based in New York City, Audible Chocolate performs regularly in a number of venues throughout the Tri-State area. However, a great deal of their time is allotted to entertaining the citizens of New York City, gracing the transit system daily with their music. They are widely embraced by the commuter population, making some of their best connections on the MTA. Their sound and effervescent style is often compared to the Fugees and Floetry. With the proper mixing of each musical gift, these ladies come together to cultivate what they define as music that sounds as good and as rich as chocolate tastes.
